Claus and your data.
Last updated 14 October 2026. Claus is made by Remy Development, London.
Getting Claus
To get Claus, you give us your email address. We use it to send you the download link and, only if you tick the box, occasional updates about Claus and other tools from Remy Development. It’s kept in our email provider, Resend, and never sold or shared. To be removed, use the unsubscribe link in any email or email us.
What Claus reads
Claus only reads a website when you click one of its buttons on that tab. It never runs in the background or reads pages you haven’t asked it to.
When you click Generate outreach, it reads the page’s address, title, description, headings and up to 3,000 characters of its main text.
When you click Find emails, it looks for email addresses on that page and on up to five common pages of the same site (such as /contact and /about).
What gets sent, and where
To write a draft, Claus sends the page details above, plus the name, offer, booking link and writing style you entered in its settings, to Remy Development’s server (remydevelopment.com). The server passes them to Anthropic’s Claude API, which writes the draft, and sends the draft back to you.
Claus also sends a random install ID. It’s made the first time you use Claus and is only used to count your free drafts each day. It isn’t linked to your name, email, Google account or browser.
Neither the page details, your settings nor the drafts are stored or logged by Remy Development, and they aren’t linked to your email address. Anthropic processes them under its commercial terms and doesn’t use API data to train its models.
Find emails doesn’t send anything anywhere. It all happens in your browser.
What stays on your computer
Your settings, your last draft and the email addresses you save are kept in Chrome’s local storage on your computer. Remy Development can’t see them. Clear them with the Clear buttons in Claus, or by removing the extension.
What Claus never does
It doesn’t sell or share your data, show ads, track your browsing, or send emails or messages for you. Every draft is yours to check, edit and send yourself.
Using it responsibly
If you contact people with addresses Claus finds, you’re responsible for following the rules where you and they are, such as UK GDPR and PECR or the EU GDPR.
